Join mycophiles Ingrid Daudert and Linda Conroy for this inspiring and practical discussion about cultivating mushrooms in your garden. Ingrid draws from her childhood experiences foraging mushrooms with her grandfather to starting her own mushroom farm to encouraging local farmers to produce mushrooms.
They’ll touch on benefits to growing mushrooms and incorporating them into your diet and talk about different cultivation techniques that Ingrid will be demonstrating at the upcoming Mycelium Mysteries: A Women’s Mushroom Conference which will be held in Almond, WI from September 19-21, 2025.
Attend live for an opportunity to win a mushroom apron, access to More Fungal Fundamentals on the Herb Women Classroom, or registration to the pre conference workshop: Introduction to Mushroom Cultivation with Ingrid Daudert on Friday September 19th!
Ingrid Daudert was bitten by the Mycophile bug when her Grandfather taught her foraging in Germany. Ingrid worked for UW Cooperative Extension teaching conservation practices for farmers, where she learned about soils as living ecosystems rather than just dirt. She started Misty Dawn Farm LLC in 2013 near Hillsboro, WI. Ingrid is also the president of the Shiitake Growers Association (ShiiGA). Her vision for ShiiGA is to increase awareness of the health benefits of mushrooms, encourage more farmers to incorporate mushrooms into their production repertoire, and mentor new mushroom growers.
