In celebration of the release of Mimi Hernandez' newly released book National Geographic Herbal and her participation in the 13th Annual Midwest Women's Herbal Conference. 

Mimi and Linda will talk about the process of becoming an herbalist and the twists and turns that accompany that journey. We will discuss our favorite herbs and recipes.

Meet Mimi and Linda!

Mimi Hernandez

Mimi Prunella Hernandez, RH (AHG) has dedicated her life’s work to serving as an advocate for traditional and clinical herbal pathways. As an herbalist, she draws upon the influence of her Abuelitas and her background in biochemistry to weave together an herbal practice that’s rooted in folk traditions and modern science. She is the author of the soon-to-be-published National Geographic Herbal and the recipient of the 2023 American Botanical Council Herbal Community Builder Award. Mimi resides in the foothills of North Carolina where she stewards the PonderLand Plant Sanctuary which is a member of United Plant Savers Botanical Sanctuary Network. She has been the Executive Director of the American Herbalists Guild since 2012.

Linda Conroy

Linda Conroy, MSS, MLSP is a Bioregional Herbalist, Wild/Whole Food Aficionado, Educator, and Community Organizer. Inspired by the plants and the feminine, she is the founder of Moonwise Herbs, Midwest Women’s Herbal Conference, Mycelium Mysteries: Women's Mushroom Conference, and Wild Eats: A Whole and Wild Food Dining Adventure. Linda has apprenticed with and studied with world-renowned herbalists and is a lifelong learner. She herself has offered workshops and apprenticeship programs for close to three decades. Her passion is herbal nourishment through Wild food/Wild medicine, Community, and Women’s Mysteries. Her programs bring practical information and delight to those who spend time with her.
